There are no words to explain how J Dilla changed the life of several producers in the hip hop community. Dilla was a big inspiration to numerous producers all across the world. I remember when I started making beats I first listened to Geek Down from Donuts and I was blown away, I just wanted to get that sound and started listening like crazy all the Dilla stuff released before he has gone. And I still think he was so ahead of his time. I mean, his success was closely linked to his sound that was pretty innovative at that time.

Anyway times and trends change, that's why I started learning how to make another types of emerging sub-genres in the Hip Hop scene. But... What I can tell is that I really enjoy feel of making that kind of beats. That old school / boom bap mood and sound when you start moving your head is hardly achieved by other genres. J Dilla was a big inspiration for me amongst so much other producers.
