This time, we need to talk about Rick Ross and his new CD called Hood Billionaire. Actually, loads of people know this Mc only when he features a well-known man: Snoop Dogg.
Hood Billionaire has been the second CD in this 2014, the last one called Mastermind made a place in Billboard 200’s list and surprised the public for its brilliance songs. It is not the first time that we see Mr. Ross publishing two or more albums in the same year, in the years between 2009 and 2012 he did it.
This album redials Rick’s style in one word, he is gangsta. He clamours of rap competitions and we have the knowledge that this means drugs, get money unlawfully and sex. The beats are slowly with unceasing percussion instrument sounds.
My thoughts about Hood Billionaire
Ross features some Mcs famous and others not so well-known. This album has features with Jay Z, R. Kelly, Snoop Dogg. DJ Toomp, among others. In addition, this CD has 16 songs that can be longer and not good enough for the public who had higher expectations in this album. Some public shout Ross for being able to sale this CD because they think it is a sin. On the contrary, my opinion is completely different. I am sure it’s not the best CD of Rick but he has 3 powerful songs that make feel and the album ends timidly with sentimental songs in an attempt to inject soul into Hood Billionaire.
Hood Billionaire tracklist and collabs
The name of the 16 songs in order of this album are: . Intro, Hood Billionaire, Coke Like The 80’s, Heavyweight ft. Whole Slab, Neighborhood Drug Dealer, Phone Tap, Trap Luv ft. Yo Gotti, Elvis Presley BLVD ft. Project Pat, Movin’ Bass ft. Jay Z, If They Knew ft. K Michelle, Quintessential ft. Snoop Dogg, Keep Doin’ That (Rich Bitch) ft. R. Kelly, Nickel Rock ft. Boosie Badazz, Burn, Family Ties, Brimstone ft. Big K.R.I.T.
The three essential songs from this album are the song with de album’s name: Hood Billionaire, Movin’ Bass featured with Jay-Z and If they knew featured with K. Michelle. Mr. Ross is trying hard to find new ways to present himself, reinventing a lot, making this ambitious album, but not always have the right ambition for everybody.
From my point of view, is not true at all what I have heart from a part of the public. They say that if you hear one song, you practically can say you hear them all because Ross uses same sounds, same subjects, same, same… To sum up, this CD can be a good chance to meet gangsta songs with some sentimental indeed, I want to recommend this Mc.
