Lil Uzi Vert, everything about this innovative rapper and XO Tour Llif3

Let’s talk about Lil Uzi Vert… Some of those hip hop copycats artists wish they had at least half of Lil Uzi Vert’s style and talent. Although he had his big hit song “Bad and Boujee” with the Atlanta trappers Migos, he has been building up what he is as an artist since high school. 2017 was a great year for him and was listed as one of the best in the genre. He’s proved to be a very innovative rapper showing no effort for reaching his own sound and potential.

A unique name

Creative people want to put their own voice out in the world, and Symere Woods decided to do it with a very unique name to be known as an artist, Lil Uzi Vert. Born in Philadelphia in 1994, this American hip hop artist takes a while to explain that his professional name is quite a creation.

He explains that he was rapping once and someone told him that he rapped like a machine gun. He liked the idea and chose the name of the submachine compact gun Uzi as a part of his name. Lil as the short form of “little”, Uzi for the power of his rapping and Vert because he always wanted to jump to fame. And he did it, it was definitely a Vertical jump to fame and money.

A powerful combination of musicians in his style

That’s what it is, his musical style is just power. Money Longer, Bad and Boujee and XO Tour Llif3 are some of his most prominent songs and highest charting singles. No doubt his name became more popular alongside Migos, but the level of confidence of this rapper is just what he needs to be on the top of the list.

With his last hit XO Tour Llif3, he won the MTV Video Music Award 2017. He has a successful mixture in both, style and musical influence. His style is a combination of nasal vocal tone and melody that his fans really like, and believe it or not his music is the result of his kind of obsession with Marilyn Manson.

He also recognizes his admiration for the music of other great singers. Paramore, Kanye West, Wiz Khalifa and Pharrell are in his list of influences. But the great part of fusing all these styles and having different sources of inspiration is that this has made his music unique as well as his name.

Genius is a media company founded in 2009 that takes into account the opinion of its team, the community, and the artists themselves. According to surveys on Genius, Lil Uzi Vert is one of the most polarizing rappers. In the survey, 40-45 % of the community likes him, but the other 40-45% doesn’t.

Sales have nothing to do with this because he continues being a million-selling artist. Some people like his flow and say his beats are always fire; however, there are others who say he’s not impressive at all and his lyrics aren’t good either. Who’s right or wrong? Who knows?

What we do know is that this 23 year old rapper has just said that fresh sounds are on the way, and that means for sure another hit song peaking at the best positions on the Us Billboard Hot 100.
