Wiz Khalifa new album release, one of the dates that fans have been more anxiously waiting for and he finally announced it, July 13th. According to his message, there’s a firm release date, so his songs will kick off next July. Undoubtedly, it will be a tumultuous month for Wiz Khalifa who is already leading with the excitement of all his fans regarding Rolling Papers 2.
Rolling Papers 2, amazing news!
When he wrote on Instagram “Got my album date. Let y’all know when it comes out in a few #gang”, many assumed we’d be getting Khalifa new album very soon. And there it is, one of the most expected announcements. On April 20th, he used Instagram again to post a video showing off his bowling skills, but also the message “I’m good at everything. My album comes out July 13th!!!” Wow! Amazing news.
Although he hasn’t remained out of sight, fans were beginning to panic thinking there wouldn’t be part 2 of the Rolling Papers. Eight years since this album, the one that catapulted him to real fame and stardom. But, fans didn’t give up hope and were always waiting for the bearer of good news who turned out to be Wiz Khalifa himself.
Wiz Khalifa’s hits
There were headlines of Wiz Khalifa during these years, but very few about the release of the expected Rolling Papers 2. People knew it was in the works and patiently waited for more than seven years. Everybody knew his next studio album was supposed to arrive soon. But the way we look at it, he kept making noise. No Rolling Papers 2 didn’t mean his voice was not heard all over the radio. To keep his fans satisfied, he dropped some albums with songs that were a hit.
No doubt the admiration for Khalifa grew amazingly in 2015, same as his numbers of fans. His talent joined the sadness because of the loss of his close friend Paul Walker. The lyrics were written out of grief creating one of the most moving songs ever. “See you again” won the hearts and minds of everyone and was #1 song on the Billboard Hot 100 for weeks. Not to say the success it had as Youtube’s most –watched video with billions of views.
Now, speculation begins. He gave the date, but it looks like we’ll have to wait a little longer for the final name of his yet-untitled project. Some say it’ll be Rolling Papers 2 as it was originally titled; however, others guess that Wiz opted to name it Khalifa Kush. What we know is what he’s expressed. In Wiz Khalifa’s own words an album is never done till it comes out, so we hope it’ll be cleared up shortly.
A blockbuster album!
When he released Rolling Papers and despite the album´s great numbers, Wiz Khalifa shared that creatively speaking, it wasn’t his best work. So his self-critique makes us have high expectations for this rapper’s upcoming album. Total truth to say “the most anticipated album” because it’s arriving years after the Pittsburgh rapper announced he was working on it.
Rolling Papers meant a monumental success and boosted his career as a rap superstar. It had five singles: Black and Yellow, Roll up, On my Level, No Sleep and The Race. The album was certified double platinum. Black and Yellow went #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart in 2011 and it’s still considered one of Khalifa’s biggest singles.
Now, just waiting for the moment of the release of Khalifa new album, a possible blockbuster album. Then, the expectation for the announcement of the date he will start touring in promotion. We are completely sure he’ll have as always all the support of his fans.
