Rock Beats
The hardest beats to create are the Rock ones, it’s really hard to get that rock sound without using live or electric guitars on the beat. Also, the mixing and mastering of the following rock beats is really hard to achieve so I just make sure they’re clearly mixed with another genres such as Trap, Old School, or even Hip Hop beats.
Rock type beats are the hardest thing on this site to get right, because an electric guitar played softly still sounds loud and there is nowhere to hide a lazy drum. The rock type beat instrumental cuts use real guitar tones, the indie rock type beat and alternative rock type beat lanes are dryer and more songlike, and the punk rock type beat end runs on speed alone. Emo rap guitar type beats and sad electric guitar type beats take the same players and slow them down.
Rock type beats: Linkin Park, Machine Gun Kelly and guitar trap
That is why the rock rap beats here sit beside trap instead of fighting it: a guitar trap type beat can carry a rap verse without a wall of distortion, and a rock hip hop beat takes the riff and puts a modern low end under it. Linkin Park type beats and Machine Gun Kelly type beats are the crossover references producers ask for, and the Nirvana type beat side is for anyone who wants the guitar dirtier and the arrangement simpler.
