Free Southside Instrumentals Type Beats (Free Download)

Southside built a whole vocabulary out of a flipped sample, a hard kick and an 808 that doubles the bass line, and this page is that vocabulary. The Southside type beat sound lives between the haunted keys of the 808 mafia school and the lighter, faster drums of the Atlanta records, so you get dark loops that still move. Future and Waka Flocka Flame are the voices that fit most of these, with Gucci Mane and the zaytoven style keys in the same family.

Southside type beats: Future, Gucci Mane and 808 Mafia loops

Play through a Future Southside type beat and the pattern is plain: one melodic sample chopped short over a low end that carries the whole track. The Southside 808 Mafia type beat cuts hit the drums harder, the Gucci Mane Zaytoven type beat end goes colder and sparser, and Young Dolph type beats and Key Glock type beat loops take the same drums into a heavier, patient pocket.
