Boombap Beats
Boom bap beats are life. I enjoy a lot making that type of beats, they’re simplest but they makes your head move itself lol . The following beats are sounding in the same type of beats as Wu-Tang-Clan, GZA, Mobb Deep, Roc Marciano, The Pharcyde… Well, you know, it’s somekind old school Hip Hop, but slightly different.
The boom bap recipe was fixed long before anyone named it: a sampler, a crate of records, and a drum break cut by hand. A kick that lands on the one, a snare that cracks a hair behind the beat, and the loop does the rest. The jazz side of a boom bap type beat stays warm and dusty, the dark underground boom bap type beat side runs the same loop through tape until it hisses, and both live or die by the drum break underneath.
